Sending an announcement (banner)

Overview: Admin can quickly create banner announcements that will be pinned to the top of a group chat.

  1. Begin in your Admin portal.
  2. Navigate to “Messages” using the icon in the top right corner of the screen.
  3. An announcement will create a banner which pins to the top of the chat. 
  4. Once in the group of your choice, click the “+” button in the bottom right corner of the screen.

  5. First, add a title for your announcement.
  6. Then, add the body text. Here, you can include text and even link to important information.

  7. You can also add a link.
    • To do this, highlight the text you wish to link.
    • Click the hyperlink button and paste your link.
    • Then click "Save"
  8.  Select the date and time you want your announcement to expire.
  9. When finished, click “publish announcement
  10. Your student-athletes will be notified of the announcement on their phone and will be reminded by the announcement each time they open their Spry group chat.
