Sending an announcement (banner)

Overview: Coaches can quickly create banner announcements that will be pinned to the top of a group chat.

1. Begin in your Coach portal.
2. Navigate to “Messages” using the icon in the top right corner of the screen.
3. An announcement will create a banner which pins to the top of the chat. 
4. Once in the group of your choice, click the “+” button in the bottom right corner of the screen.
5. First, add a title for your announcement.
6. Then, add the body text. Here, you can include text and even link to important information.
7. You can also add a link.
   • To do this, highlight the text you wish to link.
   • Click the hyperlink button and paste your link.
   • Then click "Save". 
8.  Select the date and time you want your announcement to expire.
9. When finished, click “publish announcement”
10. Now, your members will be notified on their phone and will see the announcement in the group chat.
11. Your student-athletes will be immediately notified of the announcement on their phone and can be reminded by the announcement each time they open their Spry team group chat.
