External Signers

Overview: Learn how to set up a workflow to be completed by an external signer. This allows individuals who do not have a Spry account to complete a form or packet.

External Signers Workflow: Allows you to include a step in your workflow that sends the form to an external signer for completion.

Setting up an External Signers Workflow

Learn how to create a workflow including external signers.

  1. Start in your Admin Portal.
  2. Navigate to "SprySign".
  3. Create a new packet with the form(s) you wish to send to external signer(s). This guide will teach you how to create a new packet.
  4. When configuring your Packet Settings, underneath "Workflow", you have the option to add an External Signer as a user role:

    • Enter the step name (i.e. "External Signer") and then click "Select User Role"Updated.png

    • Next, choose which fields you want the External Signer to complete within the form or packet:
      • All fields - requires the External Signer to complete the entire form or packet
      • Customize fields - allows you to select specific fields within the form or packet for the External Signer to complete. They will not be able to make edits to any fields that are not selected in this step. Screenshot 2024-09-04 at 3.28.25 PM.png
    • Note: If you have any other steps to add to your workflow (i.e. Head Coach Signature, Compliance Approval, etc.), make sure you add those before proceeding.
    • Finish editing the packet settings to your needs and click "Save".
  5. From the Packets tab on your SprySign home screen, hover over the packet you just created and click "Assign".Screenshot 2024-09-04 at 3.44.28 PM.png
  6. Enter the External Signer's email address, first name, and last name.Screenshot 2024-09-04 at 3.48.19 PM.png
  7. Finish configuring the form visibility and notification settings, enter a message to be sent to the recipient, and then click "Assign".
  8. The External Signer will receive an email with a link to access and complete the form or packet.
