Overview: This guide will teach you how to create a Self Service Packet in SprySign.
A Self Service Packet is a form that users can access and complete at any time. Some examples include an Official Visit Pre-Approval form, Roster Change form, etc.
Create Self-Service Packet
First, learn how to create a self-service packet for admins, coaches, or student-athletes. Then, proceed to the step below to setup your workflow.
- From your Admin Portal, click on the Paperwork dropdown and select "SprySign".
- From your SprySign dashboard, click the blue "Create" button in the top right corner.
- Choose which folder you want the Self Service form to be housed in. Tip: you may want to create a new folder specifically for Self Service forms.
- Next, you will be prompted to create the form in one of three ways: from scratch, by importing a PDF, or from a template. Follow THIS GUIDE to create your form. Tip: we have templates for several different self service scenarios readily available for use! Be sure to check out the "Use this template" option when creating your form to see your options.
- Once your form is created or selected, proceed to the packet creation window by clicking the blue "Next" button in the top right corner.
- You will be asked if you would like to add another form to the packet. If "Yes", repeat step #4. If "No", you will be directed to the packet settings page.
Packet Settings
Learn how to configure your Packet Settings. This is the most important part of setting up the Self Service form.
The key to creating a Self Service form is making sure the following is true: Sender & Workflow Step 1 User Role are the same. Example: Sender = Coach, Workflow Step 1 = Coach.
*Follow steps #2 and #3 below closely.
- Add a Packet Name and Packet Description for your Self Service form.

Under "Sender", select Student-Athletes, Coaches, or School admins. Click Next.
- Select which users you want to have access to completing this form. Note: If you want all SAs or coaches to be able to access it, navigate to the "Add by Team" tab and check the "All teams" checkbox. This will give all SAs or coaches across all of your teams the ability to complete this form at anytime. Click "Next".

Setup the workflow with the same user(s) listed as Sender as the first step of the workflow as the first step:
- Click "Add Step"
- Enter the step name at the top (i.e. Coach Completes Form)
- Select the same user(s) as those indicated in the Sender section. Reminder: This selection should match the selection you made in step #2 of this guide.
- Next to Action, make sure "Fill out forms" is selected.

Next, choose which fields you want the user to be able to complete within the form or packet:
- All fields - requires the user to complete the entire form or packet
- Customize fields - allows you to select specific fields within the form or packet for the user to complete. They will not be able to make edits to any fields that are not selected in this step.
- If you have any other steps to add to your workflow (i.e. Compliance Approval, etc.), make sure you add those steps to the workflow before proceeding.
- Finish editing the packet settings to your needs and click "Save" in the top right hand corner of the screen.
- Users will now see this Self Service form as an option to complete from their SprySign homepage.
