Create an Email Template with SpryMail's Template Builder

Overview: This guide explains how to use SpryMail’s template builder to create, customize, and save reusable email templates.

Launching the Email Template Builder

1. From your SpryMail homepage, click into "Send" as if you are going to start a new email or email campaign.

2. Then click "Add Templates" and select "Pre-built Templates".

3. This will display four pre-built template options you can choose from as a starting point. Select the template you’d like to use and click "Insert".

This will launch the SpryMail Template Builder.

Exploring Content Elements

SpryMail's Template Builder provides several different types of content elements that you can drag and drop into your template to customize it to your needs.

  • Paragraph: Add a paragraph field to add and format additional text in your email template.
  • Image: Add any type of image to your email template, including school logos, headers or footers, team pictures, and more.

  • Dividers and Headings: Use dividers and headings to break up sections of your email template and make it look clean and organized with labels for each section.

  • Button: Insert a button in your email template that's linked to a specific webpage for your email recipients to access.

  • Social: Use the socials element to display icons with links to all of your team social media profiles in a clean and aesthetic way.

  • Columns: Break up your email into multiple columns of text for a different look.

Customizing Content Elements

Each content element can be customized to fit your needs, from changing the sizing, colors, positioning, and more.

After dragging and dropping a content element into your email template, simply click into it to view all of the customization options on the right hand side.

Removing a Content Element

Any content element you add to your template can always be removed if it's no longer needed.

Simply click into the element and click on the trash can icon below the element or in the top right corner of the screen.

Previewing Your Email Template

Once you've finished creating your template, click the eye icon on the top of the screen to preview it and make sure everything looks good.

You can view how it will look on a computer, tablet, and mobile device before proceeding.

Editing an Existing Template Before Sending

You can still edit your template before sending, even if you have already inserted it into the email body.

Simply click on the editing icon on the right side of the screen to re-launch the Email Template Builder and make any changes.

Saving Your Template for Future Use

Built a template that you will want to reuse again and again? Save it to your "Previously Saved" library before you hit send!

1. After you insert your template into the email body, hit "Save Template" on the bottom of the screen.

2. Give the template a name and description, then click "Save".

3. This will save it to your "Previously Saved" library, which is accessible by clicking "Add Template" and "Previously Saved".
