Use CC/BCC/FWD to Send Email Correspondence to Spry

Overview: This guide will teach you how to use the CC/BCC/FWD functions to send email correspondence from your personal inbox to Spry.

You can log email conversations with PSAs directly into Spry by either cc’ing/bcc’ing send@to.spry.so on replies from your personal inbox or by forwarding email threads to that address.

This ensures all communication is captured in your SpryMail Inbox and on the PSA’s Profile within the Activities section.

This article covers the following:

Option 1: CC or BCC Spry on Email Replies

Use this method when you are replying to a PSA from your personal email and you want the message logged in Spry at the time of sending.

Steps

1. Open the email in your personal inbox.

2. Click Reply (or Reply All, if applicable).

3. Compose your message as usual.

4. Add send@to.spry.so to the CC or BCC field. *Note: BCC will hide the Spry email address from the recipient.

5. Confirm the PSA is included as a recipient.

6. Click Send.

What Happens Next

Your email will be delivered to the PSA and automatically logged in:

  • Your SpryMail Inbox
  • The PSA’s Profile in Spry under the Activities section
    • If an email address is not detected on your PSA List, it will populate to the "Pending Contacts" tab in SpryMail, which will allow you to create a profile for that PSA instantly.

Option 2: Forward an Email Thread to Spry

Use this method to log emails that have already been sent or received outside of Spry.

Steps

1. Open the email or thread in your personal inbox.

2. Click Forward.

3. Enter send@to.spry.so in the To field.

4. Ensure the full email thread is included in the body.

5. Click Send.

What Happens Next

The forwarded email will be captured in:

  • Your SpryMail Inbox
  • The PSA’s Profile in Spry under the Activities section
    • If an email address is not detected on your PSA List, it will populate to the "Pending Contacts" tab in SpryMail, which will allow you to create a profile for that PSA instantly.

Best Practices

  • Ensure PSA identification: The PSA’s email address (exactly as it's listed on their Spry Profile) must be included in the thread for proper matching to their profile.
  • Use CC/BCC for active communication: Ideal for logging emails as they are sent.
  • Use Forward for past emails: Best for backfilling or capturing prior conversations.
  • Include full threads when needed: Forward entire conversations if you want a complete history logged.
